Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami launch Cosmic Blossom, an explosion of colours

Le collaborazioni di Vuitton con i grandi artisti sono sempre degne di nota e i risultati eccezionali: come dimenticare le collezioni firmate Rei Kawakubo, Sofia Coppola, Kanye West, Stephen Sprouse? In vista dell'estate 2010, la maison francese ha firmato un nuovo accordo: si tratta, questa volta, dell'artista Takashi Murakami, definito l'Andy Warhol giapponese, che già in passato ha collaborato con Marc Jacobs realizzando per Vuitton borse e altre fantasie come il Monogram Multicolor, il Monogramouflage, la fantasia Cherry Blossom. La collezione prende il nome di "Cosmic Blossom", si presenta come un'esplosione di colore e di freschezza e comprende una vasta gamma di accessori, dalle scarpe ai gioielli, dalle borse ai teli mare, dalle bluse ai costumi, caratterizzati da un disegno floreale ipercolorato declinato in diverse varianti e da colori vivaci e luminosi. Il noto marchio della maison viene interpretato unito a motivi floreali che si ricollegano al mondo dei manga giapponesi, che assieme ad elementi formali tipici della tradizione costituiscono il leit-motiv dei disegni, dei dipinti e delle sculture dell'artista.
La campagna pubblicitaria, realizzata a Miami, ha come protagonista Daisy Lowe, figlia della cantante Pearl Lowe e di Gavin Rossdale, frontman dei Bush; l'intera collezione sarò disponibile a partire da aprile.

Vuitton's collaborations with great artists are always noteworthy and the results remarkable: how to forget collections signed Rei Kawakubo, Sofia Coppola, Kanye West, Stephen Sprouse? For summer 2010, the maison firmed a new agreement: this time, with the artist Takashi Murakami, called the japanese Andy Warhol, who formerly collaborated with Marc Jacobs realizing for Vuitton bags and other prints like the Multicolor Monogram,  the Monogramouflage and Cherry Blossom. The collection is called "Cosmic Blossom", is an explosion of colours and freshness and includes a broad range of accessories, from shoes to jewels, from bags to beach towels, from blouses to swimsuits, marked by an ipercoloured floral fantasy, sinked in more versions and in bright colours.

The famous mark of the maison is developed with floral pattern, connected to the world of japanese manga, which, with formal elements typical of the tradition, is the leit-motiv of pictures, painting and carvings of the artist.

The advertising campaign, realized in Miami, has as protagonist Daisy Lowe, the daughter of the singer Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale, frontman of Bush; the collection will be available from april.
